Currently Teaching

Northwestern State University Journalism Department, Natchitoches, Louisiana.

1. Taught “Principles of Public Relations” online with Blackboard since 2005. The goal is to teach students how to develop their own strategic public relations campaign. The course emphasizes profesionalism and ethics.

2. Taught “Impact of the Mass Media on Society” online with Blackboard since 2005. The course teaches students about media literacy and how the mass media affects their lives.

Recently Taught

1. Taught “Public Relations and Sports” in-person for the Sports Management Program of Texas A&M University in 2007. The course provides an overview of public relations for people considering careers in media relations and sports management.

2. Taught "Online Journalism" in-person for the Mass Communication Department at Sam Houston State University in 2007. The course taught students how to work in 24-7 convered media operations and how to build on an online portfolio using blogs, wikis, video and other Internet tools.

3. Taught "Life Skills" courses to adult women at the Federal Women’s Prison Boot Camp in Bryan, Texas. The course covered such topics as literacy, readiness for work, and interpersonal and small group communication skills.
